About Me
Welcome to my home page. My name is Michael P. Jones. I am an Assistant Professor of chemistry at Indian River State College, and have been teaching at IRSC since 2005. I had received by Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Tuskegee university in 1981 and my Master of Science degree in chemistry from Florida A & M University in 1994 Prior to teaching at IRSC, I had taught full-time at Jefferson Davis Community College, in Brewton, Alabama (2004-2005) and Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College(1998-2001). In addition, I had also taught Part-time at Tallahassee Community College (3 years), Community Community of Rhode Island (1 year) and Pensacola Junior (now State) College (1 year). In additon to my teaching experience, I had worked as a chemist at Organomed Corporation at Coventry, Rhode Island for 1 year. I teach the following Courses: CHM 1020 (Introduction to Chemistry), CHM 1045(General Chemistry I), CHM 1045 L (General Chemistry I Lab), CHM 1046 (General Chemistry II), CHM 1046L (General Chemistry II Lab), CHM 2210 (Organic CHmeistry I), (CHM 2210L (Organic Chmeistry I Lab), CHM 2211 (Organic Chemistry II), and CHM 2211L (Organic Chemistry II Lab), and ESC 1000 (Earth Science)
